Brief: Find an item that may have once been sold in the old audio visual shop (in Bath, UK). Take this as a starting point and produce a response to it in the appropriate medium. The final piece will be shown in the old audio visual shop for one week under the exhibition title 'The AV Studio'.
ROTARY Magazine was a collaborative project by myself and Luke Archer. My object was 200 miscellaneous slides purchased from ebay (selection put together by the ebay seller on request) and Luke's item was a Rotary magazine slide carousel for a rank 120 Hylite projector. After organising and editing the most interesting and intrquing slides from the collection and typographic slides to complement and catergorize them, fully projected ROTARY Magazine issue 1 gave an alternative browsing experience, allowing many people to view at the same time and at their own pace. As the magazine was projected this also meant no paper or printing was necessary for viewing, resulting in a more sustainable outcome.
